Five kinds of account, priced for five different situations. The thing that makes this simpler than it looks: every plan is a content subscription plus a monthly credit allowance, and those two are the only axes. This article lays them side by side.

Learning on your own

  • Free — $0 — The whole dictionary, grammar, culture and learning materials. The opening and podcast of every lesson. Mock Test 1 of each level. Spaced-repetition flashcards, 20 reviews a day. A one-time grant of about 200 credits to try the AI with.
  • Pro — $15/month, or $99/year — Every HSK 1–9 lesson in full, unit exams, all the mock tests, unlimited flashcard reviews, the speaking studio and pronunciation trainer, and 1,500 credits a month. The yearly price saves 45%.
  • Pro Plus — $27/month, or $149/year — Everything in Pro, the six advanced specialised modules, priority generation, and 12,000 credits a month — four times the Pro allowance. The yearly price saves 54%.

For a family

Family — $39/month, or $229/year. Pro Plus access for up to two children, a parent dashboard with weekly reports, the ability to assign practice and follow streaks, and one bill instead of several.

Compared with buying two Pro Plus accounts at $54, the saving is real but the oversight is the actual reason to take it.

The Families section of the pricing page, headed “For Parents 家长” over the line “The parent account is always free — store your children’s profiles, create child logins with guardian consent, and follow their progress” and an instruction to pick the cheaper path for your household: one child → add a plan to their account; two or more → the Family bundle. Two cards sit under it. One child does not need the bundle: the left card is an ordinary Pro or Pro Plus subscription sitting on the child’s own account, and the free parent dashboard comes with either path — the intro says so and the card repeats it as its last line. Notice too that the larger household tier never gets a card of its own: $69/mo for up to four children appears only as grey small print under the $39 and again as a bullet, so a section that looks like two choices is really three.

If you teach

  • Tutor — $39/month, $390/year — Full Pro Plus learner access for yourself, the teacher dashboard, assignable HSK lessons and homework, up to 50 students, and progress tracking.
  • Tutor Plus — $69/month, $690/year — Everything in Tutor, up to 200 students, multiple classes, class tools and content assignment, and advanced reporting.

For a school

  • Starter — $199/month, $1,990/year — 1 admin plus 5 teacher seats, up to 150 students, bulk import, cross-teacher analytics. For small centres.
  • Growth — $349/month, $3,490/year — 1 admin plus 10 teachers, up to 350 students, branded join links, priority support.
  • Scale — $699/month, $6,990/year — 2–3 admin accounts, 25 teacher seats, up to 1,000 students, everything in Growth.
  • Enterprise — talk to us — Multi-campus, custom volume, custom onboarding, reporting and a support SLA.

What none of them do

No plan has a per-day, per-week or per-session cap. There is no "30 conversations a day", no weekly quota and no throttle. The only limit on AI use is the credit allowance, and how fast you spend it is your business.

Equally, no plan limits how much you read. Lessons, entries, grammar points and passages are unmetered on every tier including free.

Which one

  • Just looking — Free. It is not a trial — the reference half of the site stays open permanently.
  • Studying seriously, alone — Pro. Go Pro Plus only if you want the six career modules, the Speaking and Writing facets in the Learning Lab, or find 1,500 credits a month tight.
  • Two children in one house — Family, at $39 rather than two Pro Plus accounts at $54.
  • Teaching up to 50 people — Tutor at $39 — which includes your own Pro Plus learning.
  • A school with staff — Start at the tier that fits your student count; seats and limits are the axis, not features.
