Stroke order
Watch any character being written, one stroke at a time.
Stroke Order
Using it
- Play
- Draws the character from the first stroke to the last, at reading speed.
- Step forward / back
- Moves one stroke at a time, so you can stop on the one the class is getting wrong.
- Replay
- Starts again from a blank square. Nothing is lost by repeating it.
- The counter
- Shows which stroke you are on out of the total — the number a dictionary orders by.
Type a character and it is drawn in the order a Chinese writer would draw it, stroke by stroke, at whatever size your screen is. Replay it as often as the room needs. Stroke order is not decoration — it is what makes handwriting legible, and it is how characters are looked up in a paper dictionary.
