Where the name comes from
Féng descends from Bi Gao, Duke of Bi (畢公高), the fifteenth son of King Wen of Zhou, whose family carried the ancestral surname Ji. A descendant held the town of Feng in Henan as his fief during the Spring and Autumn period, and the family took the place-name as its own.
